MOBILITY FUTURES AND CREATIVE ADAPTIONS

reimaginingMobility

A research project of the University of Westminster SCUE funding

ABOUT the research

Reimagining Mobility research brings together a range of experts to collectively image and think through the future of mobility systems.

The main goal is to develop a transport strategy for the future. Together we will explore perspectives on the impact of shocks, such as the current coronavirus crisis, on travel patterns.

We apply the Liberating Structures approach to unleash ideas and perspectives.

the workshop

Reimagining Mobility workshop brings together a range of invited experts to collectively image and think through the future of mobility systems. As part of the workshop, we will develop a transport strategy for the future.

Together we will explore perspectives on the impact of shocks, such as the current coronavirus crisis, on travel patterns.

The workshop will take place online - itself a symbol of our times- and sets out to facilitate discussions on the topic in a combination of large-group and smaller group break out sessions. We will pick up on longer-term transport debates, for example the end of commuting as remote working is widely adopted - facilitated by digital technology and the viability and longevity of ‘virtual mobility’.

This workshop will establish an expert network to continue discussions on the topic.
